Integrated Systems: the chocolate factory

Since we operate along the entire chain, starting from our laboratory, which is equipped with pilot plants, through to the entry into operation of the machine or plant, the client never has to ask where the skills of one supplier end and where those of another begin. Our integrated approach enables us to provide an extremely high level of after-sales care, thanks to our partnerships with global leaders in the production of mechanical, electronic and pneumatic components. Our range of machines covers the entire “chocolate factory” production cycle, from cocoa presses to chocolate refiners, moulding lines and wrapping machines. And naturally, we offer original and customisable technology and solutions that allow our clients to achieve, monitor and maintain standards of excellence.

The company

Since the early 1900s, Carle & Montanari has been designing and building machinery and equipment for the transformation of cocoa and the processing, moulding and packaging of chocolate. More than 1,700 factories produce chocolates, snacks and bars using Carle & Montanari technology and equipment, and the name Cavemil – named after Emilio Cavalieri (CAValieri EMILio), who invented the first automatic chocolate plant in the 1950s – is a byword for chocolate moulding all over the world. Following its takeover by the Sacmi group, Carle & Montanari operates directly in 23 countries and has sufficient resources to invest significantly in research and development. Thanks to the integration of the Packaging Division, Carle & Montanari is today the only global supplier that can provide companies in the sector with machines, plants and services from cocoa processing to packaging.
